Thalia Salagaras is a Research Assistant in the Lifelong Health Theme of SAHMRI. Thalia’s experience in neurodegeneration within her Honours year at the University of Adelaide, coupled with her previous experience at Clinapath Laboratories in specimen reception, directed her to pursue translational research where results in laboratory experiments can have a direct impact on the treatment of patients. Along with assisting the research of postdoctoral fellows and PhD candidates, Thalia is responsible for processing patient samples for one of the clinical trials being undertaken in the Vascular Research Centre.
