Kylie Hurst is General Manager for the Australia and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplant Registry (ANZDATA), the Australia and New Zealand Organ Donation Registry (ANZOD) and the Australian and New Zealand Living Kidney Donor Registry (ANZLKD). She holds the academic qualifications of a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Diploma of Nephrology. Following early years of nursing practice and management in Nephology, she was seconded to the role of Clinical Research and Data Manager for the Queensland Renal Transplant Service and the Metro South Nephrology and Transplant Services in Brisbane, Queensland, where she developed and managed a nephrology and transplant database and various investigator led research projects. She then moved to Adelaide to her current role in the ANZDATA Registry, based at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Her dedicated interest is end stage renal disease treatment, organ donation and transplantation outcomes and has a passionate interest in clinical quality registry development, that results in improved data collection, analysis and dissemination of information for quality assurance, service planning and improved health outcomes.
