Public Profile

Grigori Rychkov is an Associate Professor in School of Medicine at the University of Adelaide. He leads Ion Channels Research group at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute.  His research is focused on defining the basic molecular mechanisms that control ion channels in excitable and non-excitable cells and establishing their roles in generating responses to hormones and neurotransmitters, oxygen sensing, mechanosensation and pain. During his career Dr Rychkov has been a recipient of the Australian Research Council Research Fellowship, NHMRC Senior Research Fellowship and numerous research grants. He has co-authored over 80 publications, including papers in Nature, Nature Communications and PNS.
