Chady Barkil is a Radiochemist with a varied background in healthcare. After his graduation as a chemist, Chady was involved in the setup and development of the first PET radiopharmacy laboratory and cyclotron in the Middle East at Mount Lebanon Hospital in Beirut gaining deep knowledge of molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical manufacture that he used to prepare his Masters on methods to introduce radiopharmaceuticals orally. Chady moved to AbuDhabi and supervised the setup and inauguration of the first molecular imaging centre in UAE working on a myriad of tracers helping in the diagnostic and therapy of patients in the field of Oncology and Cardiac diseases for almost 10 years. Chady joined the team in South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) in Adelaide as Radiochemist at the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Research Unit (MITRU). He is involved in many aspects of the daily production and research at MITRU and is helping their aim to achieve better health outcomes for South Australia and Australia. Recently he is working on a radiopharmaceutical drug for the therapy and diagnostic of prostate cancer.
