Dr. Bardy is neurobiologist with in-depth expertise in human neural stem cell models, electrophysiology and single cell genetics. His research efforts are focused on advancing new stem cell biotechnologies and strategies to understand the effect of neurological disorders on brain cells.

Cedric obtained a PhD in Medicine from the University of Sydney in Australia in Pr. Bogdan Dreher’s Laboratory (2004-2008). He pursued his postdoctoral training in Neuroscience in the laboratory of Pr. Pierre-Marie Lledo at the Pasteur Institute in Paris (2008-2010). He then received the prestigious Marie Curie International Fellowship to pursue his research in the laboratory of Pr. Fred Gage at the Salk Institute in California (2011-2016).

In October 2016, he was appointed Assistant Professor (Senior research fellow) at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI), with an academic faculty position at the College of Medicine and Public Health in Flinders University. Dr. Bardy is currently leading the Laboratory for Human Neurophysiology and Genetics located at SAHMRI.
